There's something a little unnerving about using a software development methodology to plan a wedding, but the concept is pretty solid. Scrum is about breaking work into reasonable chunks, moving consistently, and keeping in contact. Those are good objectives no matter what the project is. Wedding planning just happens to be another example of it.
