Buster Keaton's best film, The General, was released on New Year's Eve in 1927. Keaton, along with Harold Lloyd and Charlie Chaplin, were the first movie action stars and did all their own stunts. These stunts were real, with few safety measures, and were often death-defying. Here's a few gifs of some of Keaton's more insane stunts.
