One of the recurring themes of this site has been films about old masters. Just over a month after we started posting links, we featured "The Last Ice Merchant," about a man who climbs Mount Chimborazo each day to get the purest ice in the world. Earlier this year, we profiled "Birdman," who owns a full-to-the-brim music and movie store in New York City.
Today, we've got two such videos. The first is about Conrad Milster, the chief engineer of Pratt Institute. Milster has maintained the 19th-century steam machines that provide heat and hot water to the campus for over six decades—and a bunch of cats too:
There's also Steven Kennard, the master woodturner. Although this video is less intimately focused than the one on Milster, it's still an interesting look at Kennard and his impressive skills:
