A few weeks ago, a coversation with a friend touched on video games. I don't play many console or PC games anymore—not enough time—but I still enjoy playing quick internet games from time to time. This week, the site will feature a few of the better games I've played. (Next week: our first birthday. Celebration suggestions are welcome.)
First up: Cyclomaniacs.
TurboNuke can be hit and miss but their Cyclomaniacs series is great, and this is the best-balanced installment they've released. It's a tilt-drive game with bicycles, tricks, a TON of well-designed courses, and creatively named racers (The best, of course, is their long-running Lee Van Cleef character, El Guapo).
Cyclomaniacs is a near-perfect blend of simple controls, the right difficulty level, learnability, and enough content to keep you coming back. It's a game you can pick up and play for three minute and it's one you can keep playing for a while just to see what TurbokNuke has decided to throw in next.
