Salient (adj., SAIL-ee-ehnt)
Noticeable or important. There's an older definition for salient as well, especially relating to military stuff, but it's not something we really use anymore. It's not salient to our current times.

A male chimpanzee, Chacha, screams after he was darted following an escape from nearby Yagiyama Zoological Park, in a residential area in Sendai, northern Japan, on April 14, 2016. The chimp was eventually caught after being shot with a tranquilizer gun and falling from the power lines, Kyodo news reported.
What a photo. I would have the same reaction as the man in the cherry picker. That is a terrifying thing to see.
