An eccentric, often elderly man. The kind of person who answers a knock on the door with wild eyes, a swiveled-up welding mask, shop apron, and grease-flecked white hair and quickly switches from "Who wants to know?" to "Come on and try the brain transmogriphier! It's perfectly safe!"
Two quick notes. First, most lenses are used in conjunction with moving the camera closer/further away from the subject. Second, a typical portrait uses 30–50mm lenses, with 100mm being an interesting option too.
