Dan Harmon is a TV producer who's run the creative and wild shows Community and Rick and Morty. Early in his run as Community showrunner, Harmon wrote about story circles, a distillation of Joseph Campbell's "hero's journey" concept that he adapted to all storytelling. Will Schoder explains all these concepts, how they work, and some examples we've seen in this excellent, entertaining video:
