Split view of the Milky Way and underneath a wintry river

A word of explanation before the link today: this photograph from Johannes Holzer captures a split view of the Milky Way galaxy above a wintry river in Germany, showing the river bed too. Take a look (full screen is best):

It's actually a composite image; one camera focused on the water and one on the mountains and galaxy. The images were combined to make this stunner. A neat bit of (not too uncouth) trickery.
