Word of the Day

Internecine (n., in-turr-NESS-een)

Relating to conflict within an organization, especially conflict that is destructive to both sides. Fun fact: the word originally meant "murderous" or "fought to the death," but Samuel Johnson recorded it differently and the rest is history. One might say that the definition debate reflected the word well, in both senses.
