Provincial (adj., pruh-VINN-shull)
Relating to a province, or limited in perspective. Imagine you were a goldfish who'd lived in an aquarium all your life. You owned that tank. It was your domain. But if a saltwater fish got dropped in there and told you about the ocean, how would you react? A giant body of water that never ends? That's just crazy. And so you'd stay, swimming the same laps and loops, enjoying the scenery that never changed. You would not be found in a Calvin & Hobbes cartoon, to say the least.
