This limited series of sculptures hit me when I first saw it, and it's continued to stick with me. It's a triple collaboration between a sculptor, illustrator, and production facilitator. The kneeling women embrace amorphous, color-filled forms of mushrooms and flowers, hinting both at new life and growth from suffering but also at a mourning over the Earth.
You can follow the sculptor, Stephanie Kilgast, the illustrator, Miles Johnston, or the fabricator, MoonCrane Press on Instagram..
