Word of the Day

Traipse (v., TRAYPS)

A hike (by miles):

Miles 0–1: Yay! This will be fun!

Miles 2–3: Oooh, nature! We should do this more often.

Miles 4–5: This was good but I'm glad we'll be wrapping up soon.

Miles 6–7: Are you really sure you know the directions?

Miles 8–9: My feet. My stomach. Commencing traipsing...

Miles 10+: Never again.

Breakfasts around the world

One of the weekend's conversation topics was favorite breakfasts. (Egg-based concoctions and French toast were the most popular choices, with muffins an honorable mention.) For those of you who want to diversify your morning breakfast routine, look no further than this illustrated list of breakfasts from all over the world. And boy, there are some very good-looking ones:

My personal favorites: Israeli (pictured above), Moroccan, Canadian, and Russian. The Russian oladis, pancake/Yorkshire pudding combos, sound quite appetizing.
