In 2012, John Collins designed the paper airplane that broke the world record for distance. (Yes, record-breaking paper airplanes have designers.) Collins has written a book that shows you how to fold different kinds of paper airplanes, and he has uploaded step-by-step instructions for folding your own record-breaker:
The paper airplane throw (shown early in the video) is 226 feet, 10 inches, which is about 220 feet further than I've ever gotten a paper airplane to fly. Maybe I'll try it over the weekend, then charge $30/bag.
