A rose by any other name may not smell as sweet but a song in another place will definitely not sound the same. (Sorry, Led Zeppelin.) Each place has its own acoustics, reverb, and delays, as this gentleman demonstrates in an interesting video:
First of all, the choreography and editing in this video is fantastic. Second, it's interesting to see how layering the different sounds on top of each other creates a unique sound effect. There's a lot of math we could get into here—constructive and destructive waves and all—but the end result is fascinating enough.
