The movements of musicians in light paintings

Photographer Stephen Orlando attaches programmable LED light strips to things that move and captures long exposure images of the things moving. He's done this with kayak paddles and recently did this with musicians while they were playing:

The photo above is Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 Prelude. Other photos at the link include violins and violas. One of the viola photos is particularly interesting because it shows three different ways of playing the same Bach Cello Suite No. 1:
