Simon Beck makes orientation maps—at least, he used to. Now, his primary work is making gigantic, intricate art in the snow by walking on it. Yes, you read that right.
Beck plans out his giant patterns on a computer, then goes to the site and walks across the snow (and sand), sometimes for a day or more, then takes a photo of his work. The results, as you can see, are as incredible to see as they are grueling to create:
