Verdigris (n., vurr-dih-GREE)

That greenish pigment that forms when copper, brass, bronze, and similar metals are exposed to the air for a period of time. Also a town in Oklahoma, which may or may not be green. It is Oklahoma, after all.

A Trip to the Faroe Islands

Although our week of Victor Borge has ended, we're not going too far from his homeland for today's installment.

The Faroe Islands, which technically belong to Denmark, are in the middle of a triangle between Iceland, Norway, and the United Kingdom. Two Russian landscape photographers, Alex Mazurov and Anastasia Glebova, recently went to the Islands and took some stunning photos:
