Today—well, last night and today, technically—is a supermoon! It's the time when the moon comes closest to the earth.
This supermoon is a bit special, as EarthSky helpfully details. It's the closest the moon has been to the Earth since 1948 and it won't be this close again until 2034. This means the moon looks bigger than normal, like this:

There's a lot of good supermoon photos that you can find yourself. But with the supermoon tonight, why not make one? Go outside. Stare at the moon. It's a unique treat to enjoy today.
