Word of the Day

Amend (v./n., uh-MEND)

To change for the better, to alter the wording of a document to be more acceptable, or to improve conduct. If you use "amend" as a singular noun, you will have to amend your usage; it only comes as a plural.

SYMPHONY OF EQUILIBRIUM La frontière. Si je marche un pas de plus, c'est une histoire que je laisse derrière moi. Simple, vulgaire et à peine sortie de l'anonymat. Si je m'arrête maintenant, cette histoire reste en suspend, attendant une fin préposée à l'épique alors que celle-ci trouvera son dénouement dans le plus vaste des calmes nocturnes. Mais je pense... que je vais rester encore un peu car il y a tant à écrire et tant de belles choses à traduire pour moi, pour vous et puis pour toi. Le grand saut dans le bonheur solitaire et universel attendra bien encore un peu sur le quais des écueils que je finisse mon livre. The border. If I walk a step further, I leave behind a story. Simple, common, and barely out of anonymity. If I stop now, this story remains suspended, awaiting an end to the epic while it finds its climax in the larger nocturnal calm.

But I think ... that I will stay a little longer because there is so much to write and so many beautiful things to translate for me, for you, and for them. The big jump in solitary and universal happiness will wait a little longer on the quays of the pitfalls that I finish my book. After all, if the stars speak, they have never expected to be heard.
