Word of the Day
Sanction (n./v., SANCK-shun)
To give permission or authorization to something or to penalize for not obeying a law or principle. Little known fact: The Clash wrote "Should I Stay or Should I Go" after having a giant discussion about whether a sanction was a good thing or a bad thing. The label sanctioned the song, although they debated sanctioning them for using the studio for a language debate.
