The Dailies tends to feature art or, at the very least, artistic ideas. One type of art that we haven't featured as much (with two notable exceptions) is dance. Which is a little odd, since dancing often combines gracefulness with beauty and mastery, all things that we feature here.
Today, we've got an interesting dance-related item. Famed animator Glen Keane partnered with the Paris Opera to create "Nephtali", a beautiful short animation:
As Keane explains in an excellent long interview, "Nephtali" takes its origin from the Biblical character whose name means "struggling" and from Psalm 42, which speaks of deer and longing. Keane and dancer Marion Barbeau wove these themes together into a wonderfully evocative animation.
