Ressentiment (n., reh-SAHN-tea-MON)
A general feeling of hostility or resentment from one individual or group towards another. It does not have to be grounded in reality, though it can be. It does not have to be able to be directly turned into action, although it can be. It simply needs to fester and grow until it births a complete relationship breakdown or a voting bloc.
