Cruel and unprovoked, excessive, or unrestrained (modern usage) or lascivious (old usage). Hungry hungry hippos are the perfect definition of this.

Where to From Here? Along with my friends and fellow wanderers we looked out over the almost infinite depth of Hong Kong, a faint misty haze in the distance obscured the mountains so that the very furthest lights appeared to hang motionless in space.
